Eye Control is a relatively new access method in the field of Augmentative/Alternative Communication (AAC). However, the technology leading towards modern day eye control has been in development for quite some time. This presentation will discuss the history of eye control technology, the modern principles and applications of eye control, and how this new access method can be utilized in the field of AAC. Additionally, suggestions for how to objectively conduct clinical evaluations, determine a rationale for using/not using eye control, and funding justifications will be provided and discussed. |
